Ms. Helen Morris holds the position of Senior Lecturer and is the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) in International Hospitality Management. Prior to joining ARIU, she served as a Senior Lecturer at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai. There, she delivered a variety of courses, including culinary arts, food and beverage management and strategy, housekeeping, services marketing, entrepreneurship, and professional development for individuals in the hospitality industry.
A native of the UK, Helen has also lived in Australia and the United Arab Emirates. She earned an MSc in International Hospitality Management from the University of Derby, UK, and a Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich, UK, alongside numerous professional certifications in hospitality, and food and beverage subjects.
With a comprehensive background in both the hospitality industry and educational fields, Helen offers her students extensive expertise in teaching subjects related to hospitality and employs student-centered learning approaches. Additionally, she has received several awards in culinary competitions and has been instrumental in advancing women’s empowerment training in hospitality in Africa, in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
