a) High School (Secondary School) Qualifications

• Final High School Report – minimum of 70% total score
• Final High School Diploma attested

b) Entrance Interview

• After processing your written application and meeting the overall requirements you will be given a date for the ARIU entrance interview.

c) English Waiver Letter

• A high school certified letter stating the student has been studying in English as the primary medium of instruction, for the previous three years
• If the letter cannot be provided, the prospective student will be asked to take the IELTS exam or ARIU English Language Test
• IELTS (Academic Test – 5.0) and TOEFL (Paper Based – 500), or equivalent English language test
• For progression from introductory year to year two, students must achieve a score of IELTS 6.0 or successfully pass the ARIU English Language Test

d) Application for accreditation of prior learning (if applicable)

• Students who have already had significant prior education at university or college level may get accreditation of prior learning.

e) Attestation

All certificates must be ORIGINALLY ATTESTED by the Ministry of Education in Qatar

The BSc (Hons) International Business Management undergraduate programme at the University of Derby is a specialist degree programme designed to develop deep knowledge of markets, business and organisations in an international context. It also develops knowledge and capabilities in applied economic analysis alongside enhancing personal and employment skills appropriate for a career in international business or management.

Events such as the global financial crisis of 2008-09 and developments such as Brexit and the COVID-19 global pandemic have led to a wider and growing interest in the subject area of international business, management, logistics, finance and applied economics. They have highlighted the importance of understanding real-world economic and business problems in a holistic manner and of being able to assess their impact within organisations and present coherent solutions and strategies. We offer you a programme designed to help you make robust disciplinary links between theoretical frameworks and the practicalities of the global world, and become successful in complex and dynamic environment.

Our programme focuses on international business from all its major aspects, expanding the disciplinary focus of a degree for students in pursuit of a career in global business. A thorough knowledge of the economic, financial, legal and cultural factors facing international business is crucial for students aspiring to work for global organisations. The programme adopts a specialist multidisciplinary approach to the complexity of the international business practice and analysis.

The programme will provide academic rigour, choice and flexibility, and continued personal development. It has an academically challenging curriculum designed to reflect the range of contexts in which international businesses operate and will allow students to adapt to the changing pattern of employment opportunities.
