Michael Carmine’s credentials include teaching in the field of business and hospitality for nine years; holding administrative titles of Assistant Professor, Director of International Students Career Development Center, Director of Career Development, Director of Employer Relations, Director of New Media Technology, Assistant Director of Career Services in public and private academic settings, and 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the food service industry.
Michael is currently a Senior Lecturer for Al Rayyan International University College (ARIU) in partnership with University of Derby. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor/Director of the Career Development Center for International Students in South Korea. He was responsible for building international relationships with businesses to hire students for internships and employment opportunities. Michael was instrumental in preparing students to be accepted into the Disney International College Program and Disney College Program.
Michael started his professional career in sales and marketing in the food service industry. During his professional career he worked for such companies as Sysco Food Services Company, Tyson Foods, Fort James Corporation: Dixie Food Service Division, and Pepsi Bottling Group. In his academic career he has taught at Kapi‘olani Community College, Hawai‘i, Southern Utah University, Utah, Pensacola State College, Florida, and SolBridge International School of Business, South Korea. Michael served on the Board of the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers as the Director of Communication and Director of Technology and as a Board Member for the Utah Association of Colleges and Employers.
Michael is a graduate of Vernon College where he received an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design Technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University, an Education Specialist degree from the University of West Florida and he is currently earning his doctorate in Education from the University of West Florida.
