a) An application file:
To obtain admission into the BSc in Accounting and Finance programme, high school graduates must have achieved at least a 70% average grade in Year 12.Applicants with a grade average of 60% may still be considered for admission upon consultation with the admissions office, based upon work experience and academic references. Students who attended private schools in Qatar or high schools abroad must provide a legally authenticated secondary school certificate (such as High School, IB, or Baccalaureate) along with an “Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar. Additionally, individuals holding associate degrees, college diplomas, or other undergraduate
and postgraduate qualifications may also be eligible for entry into the programme.
B) English Language Requirements:
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (Overall Band Score) with 5.5 for each of the individual skills(Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking). Applications with an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent (Overall Band Score) with 4.5 for each of the individual skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) may still be admitted following a successful interview. However, such applications will need to undertake an additional English course (AFENG1005) during their first year and must pass IELTS with an Overall Band Score of 6.0 as stipulated above or the ARIU English Language Test to proceed to Year 2.
Alternatively, we may be able to accept one of the following:
• Successfully pass the ARIU English Language Test. or
• English Waiver: applicants can submit a high school certified letter stating that they have been studying in English as the primary medium of instruction, for the past three (3) years.

• Assessment tasks: Include essays, exams (written/computer-based), data analysis, reports, case studies, oral presentations, and a substantial independent scholarly project (dissertation).
• Assessment criteria: Coursework typically comprises 75% of the total assessment weightage, with written/computer-based exams accounting for the remaining 25%.
• Feedback: Emphasises constructive dialogue between students and faculty to enhance learning outcomes.
